This policy explains what information Shoppable Spaces collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It reflects how the studio works today. Sections marked Planned describe features that are not yet live; we'll update this policy before any of those ship.
Who we are
Shoppable Spaces is a small, independent design platform. You can reach us at hello@shoppablespaces.ai.
Information we collect
Account information
When you sign in with Google or Apple through Firebase Authentication, we receive the account information that provider shares with us, such as your email address, display name, and profile photo URL when available. We use these to identify your account and show you who is signed in. We do not receive your Google or Apple password.
Rooms you upload
When you upload a photo of a room to the studio, the image is stored in Firebase Storage under your account. We use the photo to generate design concepts and to power the AI rendering pipeline. Your room photos are not shown publicly and are not used to train external models on your behalf without your explicit consent.
Design briefs you create
When you create a project, set a budget, choose a style and palette, or pick products to keep, we store that brief in Firestore so the studio can return a concept and so your history is available to you next time you sign in.
AI processing data
To generate a designed concept, we send your room photo, selected product reference images, and your style brief to our AI provider (currently OpenAI's image edit and vision models). The provider's policies apply to that processing. We log the model used, the prompt version, the cost, and the latency for every generation in our internal records.
Click and analytics data Planned
We do not yet record outbound clicks on shopping links and we do not yet run third-party analytics. When we add these, we'll update this section and limit what's logged to campaign-level attribution — never personal identifiers.
How we use your information
- To run the studio and return designed concepts.
- To keep your projects, rooms, and shopping lists available across sessions.
- To monitor performance, cost, and reliability of AI jobs.
- To prevent abuse and enforce our terms — for example, by rate-limiting accounts that submit malformed requests.
- To respond to you when you contact us.
Sharing
We share information with the small number of services required to run the product:
- Google / Firebase — authentication, database, storage, and hosting.
- Apple — optional Sign in with Apple account authentication.
- OpenAI — generating room concepts and locating products in renders.
- Retailer affiliate networks Planned — when you click a shopping link, the destination retailer and its affiliate network may set their own cookies on your browser. See our affiliate disclosure for details.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your room photos or your design briefs with advertisers or with other users.
Your choices
- Delete your projects. You can remove projects and renders from inside the studio.
- Delete your account. Email hello@shoppablespaces.ai and we'll remove your account, your rooms, and your design briefs from our systems within a reasonable timeframe.
- Refuse third-party cookies. Affiliate cookies are set when you click outbound product links. Your browser settings let you block them.
Cookies and storage
Shoppable Spaces uses Firebase Authentication, which stores a session token in your browser so you stay signed in. Outbound shopping links may cause retailer or affiliate-network cookies to be set on your browser by those third parties, not by us.
Children
Shoppable Spaces is intended for adults shopping for their own homes. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has signed up, contact hello@shoppablespaces.ai and we'll remove the account.
Changes
We'll update this page when we change how the studio handles data. Material changes — for example, adding analytics or outbound click logging — will be reflected here before they go live.
